Terms of Service for Block My Focus Time Chrome Extension
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using the Block My Focus Time Chrome Extension (“the Extension”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Extension.
2. Description of the Service
Block My Focus Time is a productivity extension that:
- Reads your Google Calendar events (with your permission)
- Detects focus sessions based on your chosen keywords
- Blocks selected websites while a focus session is active
Some features are available only to Pro subscribers.
3. Use of Google APIs
The Extension uses Google APIs to access your Google Calendar. Use of Google data is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and applicable Google API Services terms.
The Extension only requests read-only access to your calendar to detect focus sessions. It does not modify, delete, or create events.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension
- Use the Extension to harass, harm, or disrupt other users or services
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Pro features of the Extension are offered as a paid subscription, processed via Polar.
- Billing and payment information is handled by Polar, not by us.
- We receive subscription status and limited customer information via secure webhooks from Polar.
- Subscription terms such as billing frequency and price are shown during checkout.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains in detail what data we collect and how we use it.
7. Intellectual Property
The Extension, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by the developer and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Extension.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Extension is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Extension.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from your browser. We may suspend or terminate your access to Pro features if your subscription is not active or if we detect abuse.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes means you accept the new Terms.
